After extensive research and development Ashford International is pleased to announce the launch of a unique and innovative wheel refurbishment machine –Wheelsmart Plus is specifically designed to clean, repair, polish and refinish all alloy wheels, including painted alloys and for the first time machine polished and split rim alloys. These wheels are now fitted as standard to a large a number of specialist and volume car manufacturers from BMW through to FORD. The machine is also capable of dealing with wheels up to 24 inches in diameter.
The damaged wheel is placed onto the rotating turntable where a fully removable arm is placed over the alloy wheel and the wheel is re-milled. Any wheel design can be repaired as the turntable is not centre spoked. The machine features full foot and hand operated controls which allow for controlled and precise grinding and polishing action around all areas of the rim. A variety of abrasive and polishing wheels, spinning at 4000 rpm, are mounted at the end of the arm giving a fast, effective, durable repair. The system comes complete with a bead breaker and dual dust extraction.
